Downtown Chicago Engagement Session
When I met with Sophie & Theo they already had their heart set on having their engagement session highlight their life in Chicago. After all, Chicago is where they ended up building their life together and decidedly bought their first home.
After connecting about locations and inspiration on what we wanted to share about the city they loved so much, Sophie & Theo decided to highlight some of their favorite aspects of Chicago. They loved how Lincoln Park Zoo was such an interregnal part of the city yet felt as though you were miles away in a nature preserve.
After exploring the zoo, we made our way over to the beach to photograph the iconic Chicago skyline. This spot is one of my favorites because couples can really let loose on the beach and the candy cotton sky with the lake’s gorgeous blue water created the perfect backdrop for these two. Theo & Sophie decided they didn’t want the fun to end and invited me back to their new home. The pair kicked off their shoes, poured a glass of wine and did what they always love to do.
Sophie & Theo, you two made our time together completely effortless by being yourselves. I loved getting to know both of you and am so looking forward to your wedding next year!
