Como Conservatory Engagement Session

I’m obsessed with how Emily and Nolan’s engagement session at the Como Conservatory in St. Paul turned out. It was the first time we were able to meet in person when they flew back to MN for a few days of wedding planning. Often times I challenge my couples to include elements of their engagement session that speaks specifically to who they are as a couple in this moment of time. I want these images from this session to be a part of a memory. While Emily and Nolan currently call DC home, they were really passionate about pictures by the water because that’s something they really loved. They also adore summers in MN and of course, LAKES!

We began our evening by walking down to the pavilion at Lake Como. It was the perfect night to wander around docks. We talked a a lot about their plans for a beautifully sweet and intimate June wedding next summer. A day they where they are able to hug and talk to every single one of their guests. A day that feels like a gorgeous dinner party! Its definitely a wedding I’m super excited to capture this summer.

After we finished with the pavilion we moved over to the Como Conservatory to finish the engagement session. The sun was setting over the gardens and it was THE MOST gorgeous way to end the evening. We had the entire grounds to ourselves to utilize and play with as you can see 🙂

Thank you Emily and Nolan for trusting me with your vision and for being full of energy and love. I had the best evening learning about you as a couple and your history together. I can’t wait for this June and seeing all your hard work pay off on your wedding day!
