This wedding at Lake Pepin with Rocket Science Events is a definite favorite of mine. Patrick and Kelley are Las Vegas residents, a power couple who works for a major hotel in the city. However, when it came time to dream up their perfect wedding day, the pair decided Patrick’s childhood home on Lake Pepin would be the backdrop for their day and it really was. With planning from afar, Kelly and Patrick brought in the seriously talented Gretchen from Rocket Science Events to create there epic lakeside wedding day for all of their out of town guests.
Speaking of all their guests, they were first welcomed with the most picture perfect summer day. Which as any Minnesotan knows, is important!! When they arrived guests received welcome cocktails before being ushered to the lakeside ceremony where the couple was married by Patrick’s childhood pastor. After the recessional, guests were invited to enjoy the views with additional cocktails and appetizers on the other side of the estate. Once the reception began, the party really kicked into gear. Kelley and Patrick brought a little bit of Las Vegas to their wedding by creating a custom seating chart that entailed guests taking shots in order to find their seat!! Once the seated, everyone was treated to the couple’s favorite band that had flown in from Vegas just for the occasion. The band crooned classics while guests dined during sunset on the property.
It honestly was so romantic and I loved how interactive the day was for their guests. Being able to explore the grounds, enjoy the views with good food and company always makes for a very memorable wedding day!
