When Allyson and Andy planned for their November wedding, no one predicted that overnight the entire city would be transformed into a winter wonderland. But honestly after 5+ inches of snow, I couldn’t imagine their wedding being photographed any other way. The fresh snowfall added an extra layer of romance to their already classic wedding day.
Allyson’s bridesmaids each selected their gowns from various designers while the Andy and his men stuck with the always timeless black tuxedo. The typically modern Art Center was completely transformed by Christina Welke and her crew from The Creative Side. They added blush and ivory florals, sequin table cloths and mercury votives so the couple’s guest could enjoy their dinner by candlelight. With the snow falling and the city glowing all around them through the venue’s floor to ceiling windows, it was one of the most romantic receptions I have ever seen. As the night continued, the couple was showered in words of love from their closest friends and family members. When the champagne toasts ended the pair moved to the dance floor for a private dance together before joining their guests for a night of fun and laughter.
